Reorganisation of Trade department

With its Car Communication Systems division, Hirschmann Electronics GmbH & Co. KG, Neckartenzlingen, has evolved into a major supplier to the automotive industry. Its trade department supplies specialized retailers with radio, mobile communications and GPS antennas. Following strategic reorganisation, this unit now focussing its activities on telecommunications and satellite-supported systems.

The range of telecommunications products features a wide variety of mobile communications antennas as well as hands-free systems which are designed for different types of mobile telephones and can be fitted in any vehicle. Customers include telecommunications distributors and network operators as well as vehicle accessory dealers.
Hirschmann’s range of satellite-supported systems is principally aimed at industrial customers. Antennas which combine GPS with other services such as mobile telecommunications and data transmission are offered. These types of combination antennas are used in telematic applications such as vehicle fleet management or vehicle positioning.
In reorganising the activities of its Trade department, the Car Communication Systems division is responding both to the ever-expanding mobile communications market and to the rapidly growing range of mobile satellite services.
